Technological Particularities of the Textile Industry

The weaving workshop needs always to maintain constant temperature and humidity conditions, namely 60%~70% relative humidity and temperature of 20ºC~25º C, so as to prevent condensation.  If it is below or above this condition, defective products will be produced.

For dyeing workshop, it requires non-constant temperature and humidity environment, as well as   adequate ventilation.  If there is no effective ventilation design inside the building, it will affect the quality of dyeing, and produce defective products.

Since the gas generated from the textile industry is faintly acid, which is corrosive to the building materials, building materials also need to have good anti-corrosion resistance.

  • Condensation Causes

    In winter, the outdoor temperature of northern regions is minus 20ºC~30ºC, and the indoor temperature is above 20ºC, which is demanding for the building insulation.  Many nodes require special handling.

    Condensation is a phenomenon that is generated when moist air is exposed to the object surface with temperature equal to or lower than the dew point.  Condensation is a common potential problem for most buildings.

    For light steel construction, when moisture penetrates the insulation layer, and encounters cold object, wet air quickly reaches saturation and forms dew.  Dew may cause the collapse of the wall plate, or drip from the roof into the roof insulation layer, so that the insulation layer losses the insulation effect.

  • Condensation Type

    Cold bridge condensation: Under large temperature difference between internal and external environment and large indoor humidity, members within the building are under the temperature lower than the dew point due to the cold bridge, and dew is formed on member surface.  It is generally formed in regions to the north of Qinling Mountains-Huaihe River.

    Non-cold bridge condensation: The condensation is mainly formed due to the sudden water vapor encountering cold members with high thermal conductivity, and usually the building has no constant temperature and humidity requirement.  Usually in regions along the Yangtze River without heating measures in the winter, there are 60 days a year with the temperature around minus 10ºC~5ºC.  This period is the high-incidence season of condensation.

    Dew condensed on the insulation will reduce the expected effect of insulation, and the moisture increases insulation weight which may led to its collapse.
