Back BlueScope (Xi'an) Plant Wins '2015 National Green Building Innov

Awarded once every two years, the 'National Green Building Innovation Award' was established in 2005 by MOHURD. Its initial intention was to encourage the behavior of resource conservation, environmental protection and sustainable development in the construction industry in an effort to speed up the healthy development of the green building industry and technologies in China. This award evaluates enterprises in six major indexes and rates them based on their respective innovative requirements. The indexes are as follows: land use efficiency and the outdoor environment, energy saving and utilization, water saving and water resource utilization, material saving and material resource utilization, indoor environment quality and operation management. Enterprises are rated based on their total score, and the enterprises with the highest scores are issued the first, second and third prizes accordingly.

Among the 63 green projects shortlisted for the Award this year, 13 were awarded the first prize, 22 the second prize and 28 the third prize. Only three projects were from Northwest China. 

As the first enterprise in the industrial building field in Western China to win the Award, the Xi’an plant has been successful in establishing itself as a paragon of high-quality green factories; the concepts of energy conservation and environmental protection have been excellently implemented in this booming area.
